Paul Schieler advises clients ranging from individual inventors to small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations. His advice includes raising awareness of the importance of intellectual property among founders and inventors, drafting, enforcing and defending intellectual property rights and supporting the development of a corporate strategy for dealing with intellectual property.

He specializes in managing international patent portfolios, representing clients in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and conducting freedom-to-operate analyses. His technical areas of expertise include textile technology, automotive technology, elevator technology and additive manufacturing technology.

He studied mechanical engineering with a focus on automotive engineering at RWTH Aachen University and National Taiwan University. He has practical experience from various companies such as the BMW Group, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology, the Institute for Textile Technology Aachen and the Institute for Automotive Engineering Aachen.

He worked for Boehmert und Boehmert in the field of intellectual property from 2017 to 2022.
