Max Philipp Klüpfel was admitted to the bar in 2018 and is authorized to represent clients before the German and European courts, the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Max Philipp Klüpfel specializes in advising and litigating on intellectual property and competition law. His practice focuses in particular on trademark, design, domain and competition law as well as contract law. He also represents and advises national and international clients in the development of trademark strategies and represents trademark owners, in particular in registration, opposition and cancellation proceedings at German and European level as well as in court and out-of-court disputes. In addition, he supports and advises his clients in contract negotiations in the field of intellectual property rights (e.g. license agreements, R&D agreements, development agreements, cooperation agreements, etc.).
Max Philipp Klüpfel studied law at the University of Passau, where he already focused on intellectual property law.
He completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf, with stations at a renowned media law firm in Cologne and at King's County Supreme Court, Brooklyn, New York, among others. In 2018, he began his career as a lawyer at a major international law firm in Munich, where he also focused on the legal protection of intellectual property. Most recently, he worked at a law firm in Munich specializing in intellectual property law with a focus on trademark, competition and domain law.
He is about to complete his training as a specialist lawyer for intellectual property rights.
