Florian Malescha advises numerous German and international clients in all patent and design law matters. His expertise ranges from employee invention law and the identification of protected subject matter to examination proceedings before the German and international patent offices and the strategic development and long-term maintenance of complex patent portfolios. He defends and enforces intellectual property rights in patent litigation, nullity and opposition proceedings and conducts freedom-to-operate analyses.
He specializes in advising and supporting clients as well as building and maintaining competitive patent portfolios in all areas of classical mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, process engineering, aerospace engineering, production engineering, in particular generative manufacturing technology, robotics and AI as well as energy technology.
Florian Malescha studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), specializing in automotive engineering and product development. In addition to his training as a patent attorney, he gained extensive practical experience in several research and development departments of leading companies in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries in Germany and in Singapore at the Nanyang Technological University.
He worked at Boehmert & Boehmert from 2014 to 2022 and has been a partner since 2021.
