Dr. Patrick Hirschle studied chemistry and biochemistry at LMU Munich, where he worked on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), a class of porous organic-inorganic hybrid materials, during his doctorate in physical chemistry.
His work focused on solvothermal, microfluidic and microwave-based nano- and microparticle synthesis, as well as the physical and chemical characterization of the materials produced - including X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering and sorption.
During his PhD, Dr. Patrick Hirschle worked closely with research groups from crystallography, physics, pharmacy and medical technology to further characterize the properties of metal-organic frameworks and to develop them for drug delivery and diagnostic purposes.
Dr. Patrick Hirschle is active in all areas of patent grant proceedings. This includes conducting searches, drafting applications and responding to official communications. He is also involved in opposition proceedings and carries out freedom-to-operate analyses.
Dr. Patrick Hirschle has been with SKM-IP since the beginning of 2023, since July 2024 as a patent attorney.
